But at what cost?
Recently I’ve been reflecting on my value systems, my energy expended and my ability to show up in this world in a way that reflects my authentic purpose. I’ve left jobs, relationships, societal structures and systems simply because they required me to compromise my true self. They required me to wear a mask. To value profits over people. To bear witness to hurting over healing. To disconnect from me, more than reconnect. I’ve refused to play “the game” and cover up. I have vowed to live the rest of my days having all the conversations most are afraid of having, because they’re the ones we need to have most. I’ve denoted one of our greatest societal wounds to be the honesty crisis and therefore I’m here to combat that crisis by telling the truth. About all the things. To truth seek. To truth tell. And as a coach to honor, validate, empathize with and bear witness to yours, too. So we can have more conversations that sound like “thank you for having the courage to say the words the match exactly how I’m feeling, too.”
We live in a society that tells us we have to look a certain way, make a certain amount of money, etc to stay relevant, to have value. What if we changed what value meant? What if our new world didn’t cost us ourselves to “play the game” didn’t require us to wear masks to simply survive. What if our new world we created honored healing, honored reconnecting with ourselves, valued truth, valued…
