This months blog comes at a time where I find myself in the throughs of my choices, the manifestation of best possible future selves I am currently savoring, and the struggle in the space between where I’ve been, where I’m at, and where I’m going. Rather than add to my already lengthy to do list; I chose to do something many bloggers do and recycle a very authentic letter from this past year.

The way we are parented drastically effects our conditioning and the way we choose to show up for our own children. I like to practice extreme gratitude for knowing what didn’t work for me and what I wish I would have had. Having a child is such a profound gift. It allows us the privilege to shape, guide, and condition a small humans lens of the world, and it is not one I take lightly. Our children are constantly learning their models of what a male and female should be from each respective parent. They are learning what healthy relationship dynamics look like, boundaries, cause and effect, and the power of our words and choices. They are learning to feel safe. To trust. To love.

Some of my greatest teachers and guides have been the work of both Brene Brown and Dr. Shefali Tisbury. Brene Brown believes that we’re all doing the best we can with the tools we have.
