The power to changing your life lies in your daily habits.

How did I come to this conclusion? By under valuing and appreciating mine. Rituals. How I wake up and write in my gratitude journal no matter what. How I start my mornings slow, quiet, and intentional, in a way that allows me to hear and be one with my thoughts and higher self. How I commit to sweating, like its a religion, and downing coffee like its the diesel to my engine. From the weekly hikes I took for granted to the daily trips to my “gym folk” my life this past year has transformed into something unrecognizable; my rituals were what anchored me in a time of crisis, upheaval, and constant change, yet, slowly, but surely one by one the busier my life has become, the less I have prioritized the things that I with utmost certainty know keep me sane, stable, inspired, and empowered.

Maybe its just me, but I tend to have to lose things to recognize and appreciate either what they truly meant to me, and how they added to my life or what a cancer they were and how they stole and took from. Aren’t both realizations equally important? Don’t both the recognition of what gives us joy and takes from ours add value to the math equation that is a happy fulfilling life of our own design? And would we really appreciate one fully without the other? Things I ponder.
